Schools and District Facilities Closed Friday - 11/16/18

Air Quality Alert: Nov. 15th, 1:43pm - After conferring with the Alameda County Office of Education and the County’s other Superintendents, the decision has been made to close schools on Friday. As Friday is a minimum day for the majority of our schools, we hope this will minimize the inconvenience for families. Any families with parent-teacher conferences scheduled for Friday are asked to contact their schools to re-schedule for after Thanksgiving Break. All after-school activities and athletics scheduled for Friday are also canceled.

Dear Fremont Unified Colleagues,

After conferring with the Alameda County Office of Education and the County’s other Superintendents, a decision has been made to close all Alameda County schools on Friday 11/16/18. As Friday is a minimum day for the majority of Fremont schools, we hope this will minimize the inconvenience for families. In addition, Friday will be considered a paid, non-work day for all staff. All schools, facilities, and the District Office will be closed tomorrow. The District Office will be open as scheduled on Monday and Tuesday next week for all staff scheduled to work those days.

I thank you for your patience and hard work during a very challenging week in support of the education and safety of our students. Enjoy your time with loved ones this Thanksgiving holiday and my best to you and yours.
